NORFOLK, Neb. – Two members of the renewable fuels technology staff at Northeast Community College have been invited to present at a national ethanol conference in Houston later this month.

Randall Sigle, renewable fuels trainer, and Shanelle Grudzinski, renewable fuels coordinator/trainer, will present at The Process Optimization Seminar Wednesday-Friday, April 27-29.

The seminar is for management personnel responsible for ensuring an ethanol plant is doing all it can to maximize profitability.   The curriculum will be presented by Fermentis, Fremont Industries, Novozymes, Phibro Ethanol Performance Group and Northeast and will focus on techniques each use to insure maximum plant efficiency.

Sigle and Grudzinski will present tools on how to successfully manage employees and specific management issues inherent to ethanol plants.  Sigle is currently teaching a management course for renewable fuels at Northeast Community College and will be presentation leader.  Sigle and Grudzinski’s topics will include “Modeling a Culture of Respect,” “Master and Commander,” and other serious, but not typical, tools to successfully manage staff and identify inherent issues that affect a company and its employees.

For more information about the conference, contact Grudzinski at (402)844-7692.
