Juniors Invited to Northeast for Day of Fun and Exploration

(NORFOLK, Neb.) – High school juniors are invited to Northeast Community College in Norfolk for another day of exploration and fun on Thursday, April 14.

Jumpstart Your Juniors activities begin at 9 a.m. in the College Welcome Center with check-in. 

 

Following a 9:30 welcome in the Welcome Center, juniors will have a tour or faculty visit at 9:45.  A presentation about admissions, financial aid and student life will start at 10:30 a.m.  A student panel will follow at 11 a.m.  in the College Welcome Center featuring students representing some of the 30 clubs and organizations on campus. Guests will learn about Northeast activities like theatre, speech, Student Activities Council, Student Government Association, The Viewpoint and the Student Ambassadors.

The student panel will be followed by lunch in the Student Center cafeteria. Students will have another opportunity for tours or faculty visits at 12:15.  A College Knowledge Game is planned for juniors at 1 p.m. with prizes, snacks, and evaluation following at 1:45 p.m.

“The junior year is a pivotal year when it comes to making college decisions,” said Recruiter/Advisor Samantha Wolfe.  “This is an ideal time for juniors to get a real up-close and personal view of Northeast Community College.  Our event last year was a tremendous success and we again encourage all high school juniors to take advantage of this fun and informative opportunity.”
