Hawks baseball falls to #8 Kirkwood, 5-1 and 11-1

NORFOLK, NE - The Northeast Community College baseball team dropped two conference games to Kirkwood Community College here yesterday, finishing 5-1 in the first game and 11-1 in the second.

In the first game, Jackson Tingwald went 2-3. Donovan Warren went 1-3 and scored the lone run for the Hawks. Christian Dumont finished 1-3. Dylan Wright took the loss.

Dumont was 2-3 in the second game with a double; Tanner Hunt, 1-2 with an RBI; Domanique Sanders, 1-2. Justin Frye was the losing pitcher.

Kirkwood is currently ranked eighth in the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division II poll.

Northeast (16-26-1) will continue its series with Kirkwood today at Veterans Memorial Field in Norfolk at 11 a.m.
