Northeast women's soccer signs two Colorado recruits

NORFOLK, NE - The Northeast Community College women’s soccer team has added two new recruits to its Fall 2018 roster. Mary Perez Aguirre, from Rangeview High School in Aurora, CO, and Emma Weaver, from Wheat Ridge High School in Wheat Ridge, CO, will join the Hawks this fall.

Perez Aguirre is a central attacking midfielder. During her junior year, she scored 10 goals and recorded four assists in 14 games from the midfield position. While at Northeast, she plans to major in biology.

“Mary is going to give us a lot of speed and depth at the attacking midfielder position,” said Chad Miller, Northeast coach. “She will be a great asset to our attack.”

Weaver is a strong, athletic defensive center back with effective speed and tactical awareness on the pitch. She has helped Wheat Ridge have a combined record of 40 wins and 10 losses in the past three seasons.

“We are extremely excited about Emma,” Miller said. “She will give us a great presence on defense with the ability to attack forward as well. She will be a key factor in our back line.”
