To Write Love on Her Arms at Northeast

NORFOLK, NE - Northeast Community College student Macy Olson, Albion, (left) writes the word “Love” on the arm of fellow student Kaylin Brown, Fremont, as part of the “To Write Love on Her Arms” (TWLOHA) national movement, which is dedicated to fostering hope and finding help for those struggling with depression, addiction, self-injury and thoughts of suicide. Representatives of Bright Horizons, a non-profit organization dedicated to the elimination of domestic violence and sexual assault, and Northeast’s Campus Assessment, Response and Evaluation (CARE) team were also on hand to distribute information. Olson was one of several members of the Northeast Student Activities Council to write “Love” on arms of students as they entered and exited Hawks Point dining hall over the noon hour Wednesday.
