"We did not shoot the ball great, but we got control of the game, and all of our players were able to get some playing time," said Matt Svehla, Hawks coach. "I thought Lauren Hunstad's three three-pointers in the first half were really important. We were looking to create some distance, and those threes were really big."
In addition to Hunstad's three-pointers, the Hawks had a productive first half. Mykala Baylor totaled six points and six rebounds, while Kori Fischer had five points and five assists.
The Hawks (21-3) will travel to Beatrice on Wednesday to face Southeast Community College in a 5:30 p.m. game.
