Bassett's Orton signs to play volleyball for Northeast

NORFOLK, NE - Northeast Community College volleyball has added another recruit to its 2018-19 roster. Caitlin Orton, who attends Rock County High School in Bassett and plays for the North Central Knights, will join the Hawks this fall.

“Caitlin is a great volleyball player and just a great person,” said Amanda Schultze, Northeast coach. “We are grateful to be able to add her to our group of players in the fall. She is a great team player and a very hard worker. I look forward to seeing her be a young leader for us in the fall.”

During her senior year with the Knights, Orton recorded 308 kills, 170 blocks, 226 digs and 31 ace serves.

Orton joins Julia Eskens, of Wynot, Elley Beaver of Scotus Central Catholic in Columbus, MaKayla Davidson, of Alliance, Caitlin Kumm, of Osmond, and Megan Wehrbein, of Lewiston, as 2018 Northeast volleyball signees.
