Hawks lose close game to Southeastern

BURLINGTON, IA - In their first road game since December, the Northeast Community College men's basketball team was unable to overcome Southeastern Community College here Saturday. Final score was 68-65.

Northeast overcame a large first half lead by the Blackhawks but eventually fell in the three-point game.

Melkisedek Moreaux led Northeast, chipping in a double-double with 19 points and 18 rebounds. Steve Wooten added 21 points and five rebounds, while Jeremiah Codden added 13 points, five rebounds and three assists.

The Hawks (12-8) will host #2 Indian Hills Community College on Wednesday at the Cox Activities Center on the Norfolk campus. Game time is 7 p.m.
