Lewiston's Wehrbein to play volleyball at Northeast

LEWISTON, NE – Northeast Community College has signed another volleyball recruit. Megan Wehrbein, of Lewiston, will play for the Hawks this fall.

“Megan is a great person,” said Amanda Schultze, Northeast coach. “She is very strong offensively and compassionate about volleyball. Megan has a lot of potential and we are so very excited to get her here
this fall!"

During her senior year, Wehrbein recorded 302 kills, 53 blocks, 47 ace serves and 172 digs for the Tigers.

Her honors include being named to the Pioneer Conference Second Team and Mudecas, Omaha World Herald, Lincoln Journal Star, and Sunland honorable mention teams during her junior season. During her senior year, she was named to Mudecas and Pioneer Conference first teams and the Omaha World-Herald’s honorable mention team. She was also team captain.

Wehrbein joins Julia Eskens, of Wynot, Elley Beaver of Scotus Central Catholic in Columbus, MaKayla Davidson, of Alliance, and Caitlin Kumm, of Osmond, as 2018 Northeast volleyball recruits.
