Northeast (18-14) is the #12 seed. The Hawks earned the trip to nationals after defeating Kirkwood Community College at the Region XI-A championship in a five set match (25-11, 19-25, 25-22, 16-25,
15-7). This is the second consecutive year the Hawks have qualified for the NJCAA National Championship.
Sauk Valley (32-8) is the #5 seed. It won the trip to the national tournament by defeating Waubonsee Community College in straight sets.
The time for the Northeast-Sauk Valley match is yet to be determined. The national tournament will be held November 16-18, in the Charleston Civic Center in Charleston, WV.
