Scaring up some Halloween fun at Northeast in South Sioux City

SOUTH SIOUX CITY, NE - “Grandma Maralyn” Grimoskas (left) watches the Statue of Liberty (Bradey Hanson) put the finishing touches on a trick-or-treat bag as part of the Intergenerational Designer Trick-or-Treat Bag event at Northeast Community College’s extended campus in South Sioux City recently.

Attendees young and old alike customized canvas bags, swirl-painted mini pumpkins, painted faces, played games and enjoyed refreshments at the gathering. The event is part of the College’s Trending Topics - Great Gatherings - Insightful Information - Friday Fun (TGIF) series. These once-a-month Friday gatherings are local and seasonal in nature, and offer adults an opportunity to make new friends and learn at the same time. (Courtesy Northeast Community College)
