Visiting Writers Series continues with Omaha poet

NORFOLK, NE - A poet from Omaha will be featured at the next Visiting Writers Series at Northeast Community College in Norfolk. Sarah McKinstry-Brown, Omaha, will read from her work on Wednesday, November 8, at 7 p.m. at Hawks Landing in the Northeast Student Center.

Winner of two Nebraska Book Awards, McKinstry-Brown is the author of Cradling Monsoons (Blue Light Press, 2010) and has been published in a variety of settings, from West Virginia’s standardized tests to literary journals such as Rattle, Green Mountain Review, Ruminate and The South Dakota Review.

McKinstry-Brown is the proud founder, curator and host of feedback at KANEKO, an interactive literary reading series.
