Sober in October at Northeast

Student Blayne Wurdinger, Columbus, attempts to give a high five to Shelby Schmidt, West Point, during Northeast Community College’s Sober in October event at the Chuck M. Pohlman Agriculture Complex.

Wurdinger is wearing “fatal vision” goggles, which distorted his vision as he attempted to walk a straight line. One-hundred sixty-four students took part in several activities during the 10th annual event. They were also treated to food, beverages, t-shirts, car safety kits and many giveaways. The event is sponsored by the Northeast Student Activities Council, Alcohol and Other Drugs Committee and Healthy Hawks.
