Northeast to host fall concert

NORFOLK, NE - Northeast Community College instrumental music and vocal groups will open their 2017-18 season with a fall concert soon. The concert will be held Sunday, October 22, at 2 p.m. in the Cox Activities Center theatre on the Norfolk campus. It will feature selections by Northeast’s Ebony & Crimson, the College Choir and the College/Community Concert Band.

Vocal selections, directed by Dr. Michael Patch, will include “The Ground,” “Jubilate Deo,” “Shenandoah,” “Pie’ Jesu” and “The Awakening.” Margaret Schultz is the accompanist. 

With Kevin McLouth as director, the Northeast College/Community Concert Band will be performing a selection of works from around the world, including songs from Spain, Russia, Korea and the Middle East.

The concert is free and open to the public.
