Northeast in South Sioux City to host blood drive

SOUTH SIOUX CITY, NE - Northeast Community College in South Sioux City will give Siouxlanders an opportunity to make a difference in the life of another at a blood drive later this month. The blood drive will be held by LifeServe Blood Center at the Northeast Community College extended campus, 1001 College Way in South Sioux City, on Monday, September 25, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

LifeServe is encouraging those who have never donated blood to participate as well as regular donors. All first-time donors will receive a free t-shirt, and the first 20 donors will receive a coupon for a free pint of frozen custard from Culver’s.

Eligible blood donors must be at least 16 years old, weigh at least 120 pounds and be in general good health. Donors are encouraged to eat a meal and drink plenty of water prior to their donation.

The event is open to the public. Donors do not have to be associated with Northeast Community College to participate.

To schedule an appointment, visit http://www.lifeservebloodcenter.org or contact Dr. Cyndi Hanson, South Sioux City extended campus executive director, at (402) 241-6400.
