Northeast welcomes new international students

Lyle Kathol, vice president of educational services at Northeast Community College, welcomes incoming international students to Northeast during the College’s international student orientation recently. Northeast’s orientation for international students resembles traditional college student orientation in many ways, with class registration, English and math placement exams and advisement as well as discussions about tuition, financial aid and American classroom culture. Twenty-seven new international students joined thirty returning students for the Fall 2017 semester. Northeast’s international students hail from 23 countries. (Courtesy Northeast Community College)
