Professional Continuing Education

Northeast Community College offers a variety of courses that fulfill continuing education licensure requirements for various professions. Northeast works closely with regulatory agencies to assure that continuing education courses meet approval guidelines.

Some of the professions that have regularly scheduled classes include:

Allied Health

The Allied Health Department offers classes and continuing education workshops for healthcare providers.

Northeast Allied Health staff members work closely with health care facilities and organizations to provide high quality education throughout our service area. Some of these facilities and organizations include: the Nebraska Nurses Association, Faith Regional Health Services, Nebraska Healthcare Association, Nebraska Health and Human Services, Region IV services, Northeast Area Agency on Aging, Project Access, University of Nebraska Medical Center, and many more.

Allied Health offers classes and continuing education for licensed health professionals in Nebraska including RNs, LPNs Child Care Providers, Registered Dietitians, Nurse Aides, Medication Aides, Certified Dietary Managers, and Physicians.

Emergency Medical Services

The EMS Department offers classes and continuing education workshops for Emergency Medical providers.

Northeast EMS staff members work closely with health care facilities and organizations to provide high quality education throughout our service area. Some of these facilities and organizations include: the Nebraska Emergency Medical Association, Faith Regional Health Services, Nebraska Health and Human Services, and many more.

EMS Department offers classes and continuing education for licensed EMS professionals in Nebraska including, EMR, EMT and Paramedic.

Computer & Technology Training

Northeast offers a variety of computer classes. Examples include:

  • Microsoft PowerPoint
  • QuickBooks
  • Keyboarding

Classes are scheduled in Norfolk on the main campus, online, and in the Extended Campuses in O’Neill, South Sioux City, and West Point and Regional Offices in Hartington and Ainsworth. Computer training can also be customized for specific business and industry needs.

Fun & Recreation

Northeast Community College provides a variety of personal interest classes throughout its 20-county service area. Examples of classes include but are not limited to: Arts and Crafts, Conversational Spanish, History Tours and Talks, Cake and Cupcake Decorating, Pallet Projects, Sign Language, Photography, Landscaping, Financial Planning, Woodworking, Genealogy, Interior Decorating, and Calligraphy.
