Medication Aide

This course is designed to prepare the student to meet the requirements of the Medication Aide Act and the responsibilities of the medication aide in an assisted living facility and/or nursing facility. Motorcycle Rider Course

The Motorcycle Rider Course (MRC) is a 15-hour course which includes 5 hours of classroom instruction and 10 hours of riding instruction. The course begins with the basics of turning, shifting, and braking and then moves onto the advanced skills and strategies for street riding. Professionally trained instructors teach in the classroom and then coach riders in a controlled riding area. Within 30 days of course completion, participants are required to take the Motorcycle Safety Foundation Basic eCourse. Professional Truck Driver Training

The training program is an intensive course. The students will go for night drives and long runs during the course. This entails gone for a week, overnights and 14-hour days. Students will learn to operate articulated vehicles in a training environment that includes driving on city streets, two-lane, and interstate highways. The program includes 240 contact hours, 44+ hours of behind the wheel training and 190 hours of classroom, lab, and observation. An ESL test will be provided if necessary. Tuition does not include the cost of books, DOT physical, drug screen, MVR report, learner’s permit or the CDL license. The Norfolk location offers six-week course scheduled Monday through Friday, meeting 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. The South Sioux City location offers twelve-week course scheduled Fridays 6:00 p.m.-10:00 p.m., Saturdays and Sundays 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Financial assistance is available through the Community College GAP Assistance Program for students meeting income guidelines. Relief Painting

Learn to create a low relief design on canvas and then paint it. You choose the design and colors for your painting masterpiece, and the instructor will demonstrate the processes and offer suggestions along the way. The first class session will focus on drawing the raised patter onto the canvas, with the second class session two dedicated to finishing techniques. Supplies will be provided and included in the cost of the class.
