Heartsaver First Aid

The Heartsaver First Aid course teaches how to manage illness and injuries in the first few minutes until professional help arrives. Course content includes: general principles, medical emergencies, and injury emergencies. Lockout/Tagout Train the Trainer

Lockout/Tagout is one of OSHA's Top 10 "Most Serious Violations" and Top 10 "Most Often Cited Violations." Our facilitators are safety experts who will break down the regulation and answer your site-specific questions and prepare you to teach this complicated topic to your employees. Medication Aide

This course is designed to prepare the student to meet the requirements of the Medication Aide Act and the responsibilities of the medication aide in an assisted living facility and/or nursing facility. This course includes information regarding medication administration, pharmacology, rules and regulations, classification of drugs, orders, storage, abbreviations and an overview of commonly used drugs and documentation. Understand all that OSHA requires in its Construction Industries Standard 29CFR1926. Pediatric Basic Life Support and First Aid

Professional Truck Driver Training

The training program is an intensive course. The students will go for night drives and long runs during the course. This entails gone for a week, overnights and 14-hour days. Students will learn to operate articulated vehicles in a training environment that includes driving on city streets, two-lane, and interstate highways. The program includes 240 contact hours, 44+ hours of behind the wheel training and 190 hours of classroom, lab, and observation. An ESL test will be provided if necessary. Tuition does not include the cost of books, DOT physical, drug screen, MVR report, learner’s permit or the CDL license. The Norfolk location offers six-week course scheduled Monday through Friday, meeting 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. The South Sioux City location offers twelve-week course scheduled Fridays 6:00 p.m.-10:00 p.m., Saturdays and Sundays 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Financial assistance is available through the Community College GAP Assistance Program for students meeting income guidelines.
