This course encompasses knowledge and techniques which are utilized in the definitive management of a cardiac arrest or similar life-threatening emergency. Agency Teambuilding II-Part 2 (30800 NE)

3 Continuing Education Hours Ethics. Students will identify different ethical situations and the consequences. When an ethical situation arises, students will look at the factors involved to solve the situation. (Part 1 is not a prerequisite).

Art of Photography

Here's the opportunity to enjoy the art of photography. Learn how to use your camera to produce a work of art using some of the artistic principles used by the old masters. Move beyond snapshots and become a serious photographer with Instructor Tom Prouty. Bring your camera, know all its features and use your camera like an artist uses his paintbrush.

Basic Nurse Aide

This course is designed to meet the Nebraska Health & Human Services System training requirements for nurse aide certification and employment in long-term care facilities. This course combines classroom lecture and laboratory application for the development of basic skills needed to provide safe, effective, and caring services to the elderly or chronically ill patient of any age, in a long-term care facility. Upon completion of this course, the student is eligible to take the state written and practical skills exam. After successfully passing this examination and completing the application procedure, the students name will be placed on the basic nurse aide registry at the Nebraska Health and Human Services Regulation and Licensure, Credentialing Division. The book is located in the campus bookstore, 402-844-7140. CLASS CANNOT BE REGISTERED ONLINE. An additional $30 fee will be required if student choose to register to take the Certified Nursing Assistant exam at the end of the course. This $30 fee will be required at the time of the non-credit exam registration.

CPR Instructor Renewal

This American Heart Association course is a recertification for current CPR Instructors. Any new materials and new procedures will be included in this 4-hour class. Students must bring their current instructor card. You MUST pre-register.

iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch

Discover how to use an iPhone, iPad and iPod touch for emailing, browsing the web, managing time, getting directions, taking notes, taking photos, and listening to music. Explore free applications that can be downloaded to your device. Participants should know their Apple, iTunes, or iCloud ID and password.

Microenterprise Tax Credit and Contractors

This course covers Nebraska sales and use tax as it applies to construction contractors. You will benefit from this course if you perform construction services or handle bookkeeping for contractors. If you ever need to hire a contractor, this course will explain to customers what forms need to be completed and how the invoice they receive should look. The presentation will cover licensing requirements, contractor registration, contractor options, exemptions, reporting, and taxable services. There will be plenty of time for questions and answers.

Pediatric Advanced Life Support

The purpose of Pediatric Advanced Life Support is to provide healthcare professionals with the knowledge of prevention and recognition of cardiopulmonary arrest in infants and children. The participant will perform cognitive and psychomotor skills needed to resuscitate and stabilize infants and children in cardiopulmonary arrest. Wildlife Photography Made Simple
