Golf Coach
Head Coach Kurt A. PytleskiKurt is in his first year as the head golf coach at Northeast Community College, but he is no stranger to golf or Northeast Athletics. He has been in the golf business for over 20 years with extensive experience in course management. Kurt was the Director of Golf Operations at Fair Play Golf Course, which is now the home course for the Hawks, for over ten years.

During his time at Fair Play, Pytleski handled management of the course, clubhouse and the pro-shop. He also ran all tournaments and leagues and gave golf lessons. In addition to his time at Fair Play, Kurt also held a similar position at Highland Oaks Golf Course in Ponca, NE. He also helped with the course development of Evergreen Hills Golf Course in Battle Creek, NE.

Kurt also has extensive service at Northeast Community College. For the past 12 years he has been a full-time instructor in the Horticulture/Golf Course Management program. Along with teaching a variety of Horticulture classes, he has taught four level of Golf Playability classes. Pytleski also served as the part-time athletic director for Northeast Community College for four years. He was involved in the re-establishment of both the men’s golf program and the volleyball program during his time as athletic director.

Kurt is an avid golfer who enjoys being around the game of golf and helping all golfers become the best players they can be. He and his wife Fran have two grown children, Henry and Ellie, who is a Northeast graduate.
