2014-15 Player Profiles

L.J. Westbrook - 6’4” – FR - Salem, OR – Forward

Prep: L.J. was a First Team All- Central Valley Conference selection as a junior for North Salem High School. He transferred to Lee Academy in Maine his senior year and prepped at 22 Feet Academy in Greenville, SC. Westbrook averaged 14.3 points per game during his prep campaign before joining the Hawks in the spring of 2014.

Peirre Conwell - 6’3” – FR – St. Paul, MN – Forward

Peirre averaged 16 points and 8.1 rebounds per game for the Class 3A-Section 4 runner-up Johnson High School Governors (27-3). He was named the 2010 St. Paul Pioneer Press Player of the Year and to the 2014 Minnesota Basketball Association’s All-State Team, drew comparisons to former Johnson standout Maxie Rosenbloom. “When you’re in the same sentence as Maxie, that’s really saying something,” Vern Simmons, Governors coach said.

Kevin Metoyer - 5’9” – FR – Omaha, NE– Guard

Prep: Kevin was part of Omaha Westside’s state runner-up season in his senior year. He averaged 15.6 points, 6.8 assists and 3.3 rebounds per game in his final high school year. Metoyer was named First- Team All-Nebraska and First-Team All-Metro by the Omaha World- Herald and First Team Super State by the Lincoln Journal Star.

Jalen Bradley - 6’1” – SO – Norfolk, NE – Guard

Prep: At Norfolk Senior High School, Bradley lettered all four years. He was named a two-time First-Team All-State selection; led the state in scoring over two straight seasons, averaging 21.2 points per game as a junior and 21.9 as a senior; and closed his career as Norfolk’s all-time leading scorer and the fifth-best scorer in Class A history with 1,638 career points. His career free throw percentage of 93.4 was also a state record and ranked second all-time nationally.

College: Bradley played 13 games for the University of Nebraska - Omaha as a redshirt freshmen in the 2013-14 season before injuries sidelined him for the second half od the campaign. The guard averaged 4.8 points and 0.9 rebounds over 8.8 minutes per game off the bench.

Chima Moneke - 6’7” – SO – Canberra, Australla – Forward

Prep: Chima played in back-to-back Australian high school championships. He averaged a double-double each of the last two seasons. He scored 42 points in one game during his senior year and recorded a 20-rebound game. Chima was listed as one of the top up-and-coming Australian basketball players in the Class of 2013.

College: Chima appeared in 28 games as a freshman, recording 14 starts. Averaged 10.7 points and 7.2 rebounds during his first season as a Hawk. Had a career high 26 points against Indian Hills Community College. Recorded five double-digit rebounding games and had 33 blocks last season.

Shawn Lipscomb – 5’11” – FR - Durham, NC – Guard

Prep: Shawn held the nation’s scoring title by during his junior year at Flora MacDonald Academy in Red Springs, NC. He was also one of the most explosive scorers in the country that year, averaging over 33 points per game while shooting 47-percent from the field. In addition, Lipscomb was the number one scorer in North Carolina that season. In his senior year, he averaged 17.9 points per game for Bull City Prep Academy in Durham. Lipscomb has had other offers from Liberty University and Columbia.

Dionte Smith - 6’4” - SO – Nassau, Bahamas – Forward

Prep: A three-year varsity team member, Dionte helped lead CC Sweeting High School to back-to-back Hugh Campbell Invitational Championships. At 6’4, he was named tournament MVP of the 2013 Hugh Campbell Invitational. Dionte averaged 17 points and 11 rebounds during his senior campaign.

College: Dionte appeared in 29 games as a freshman and recorded two starts. Smith averaged 5.5 points and 2.9 rebounds a game last season. He recorded a career high 26 points a game against Indian Hills Community College. Dionte had a double-double against Morningside JV and made 52 field goals last season.

Buay Tuach - 6’6” – SO – Omaha, NE – Guard

Prep: Buay averaged 11.3 points and 6.8 rebounds per game for the 23-3 South High School Packers. He was named 2nd Team All-Metro by and was named Honorable Mention All-Metro and Honorable Mention All-State by the Omaha World-Herald.

College: Buay appeared in every game as a freshman and recorded 29 starts. Tuach averaged 12.9 points and 4.1 rebounds a game as a freshman. Recorded a career high 20 points twice last season against Indian Hills Community College and ABCD Prep. He shot 38 percent from the three point line.

Dishawn Thompson - 6’5” – FR – Brampton, Ontario – Forward

Prep: Dishawn played his senior year for Faith Christian School in Phoenix, AZ. He averaged nine points, 7.9 rebounds and 2.8 blocks for his talented high school team. Thompson has emerged as one of the top Canadian prep prospects for the class of 2014. His brother, Tristan, plays for the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Omar Venable - 6’8” – FR – Lithonia, GA – Forward

Prep: Omar was part of Miller Grove High School’s five consecutive Georgia State Championships (Four - 4A, 1 - 5A). He averaged 8 points, 5.7 rebounds and 2.2 blocks per game during his senior season. Venable was selected to the DeKalb County All- Star Game.

Boris Rajovic - 6’11” – FR – Dahilovgraol, Montenegro – Center

Prep: Boris played his junior and senior years at Glenelg Country School in Ellicott City, MD. During his senior year, he averaged 12 points and 7.9 rebounds per game.

Torrell Sutton - 6’9” – FR – Hamilton, OH – Center

Prep: Torrell averaged 13.4 points and 4.2 blocks per game for Christian Life Center Academy in Houston, TX. He helped Christian Life achieve 33 wins on its national schedule during his senior year. Sutton also played for Team Texas during the summer circuit.

Trevon Moody - 6’9” – FR – Sioux Falls, SD – Guard

Prep: During his senior year of high school, he helped Sioux Falls Roosevelt to a Class AA third place finish and a 23-3 record.

College: Moody spent last season at Northwestern College in Orange City, IA.
